Welcome!
At our core, we’re all wired for love and connection. Life experiences—like trauma, loss, or unmet needs—can make it hard to live in that truth. The therapeutic relationship can serve as a vehicle to aid in reconnecting with yourself and explore safe connection to another. Past clients have described my style as “compassionate, but not coddling.” I believe each person comes to therapy with their own innate wisdom, and I value collaboration and shared ownership in the healing process. I am pleased to offer both in-person and virtual appointments.
Behind the Name
The potential for internal transformation within each person is truly beyond words. When naming my business, I wanted to honor this journey with honesty and reverence. When a caterpillar begins its process of change, it has no knowledge of the outcome; yet it naturally moves through each stage and ultimately becomes something it could never have imagined at the start. Witnessing this transformation in others continues to fill me with a deep sense of wonder and inspiration. Still, in the midst of one’s own journey, it can often feel like walking blindly. My goal is to provide support throughout the process of self-discovery—even when it feels as though you are in the midst of the “goo.”

About
My Approach
My approach is eclectic, meaning it is continually evolving and tailored to each individual client. I draw on modalities such as Inner Child Work and Internal Family Systems. I also incorporate Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to help clients find “middle-ground” thinking and embrace the shades of gray between seemingly opposing ideas. I view mindfulness and self-compassion as foundational elements upon which all other therapeutic work is built
My Background

I began my career in the field of social work after earning my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from SUNY Albany. I supported individuals as they navigated various systems, including foster care and the legal system. Early on, I discovered that my true passion lies in partnering with people as they move through periods of transformation. This led me to pursue a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work with a focus on mental health counseling from Loyola University. I went on to work as a psychotherapist in an inpatient hospital setting and later in an outpatient program, where I facilitated group therapy.

My experience in group work allowed me to witness the unique wisdom each person carries and how sharing that wisdom can be healing not only for themselves but for others. Throughout my time as a therapist, I have valued creating space for this wisdom to emerge and integrating what I have learned from both my clients and my own professional journey.

More About Me

When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time in nature and cuddling my cat. I also love reading fantasy books and embracing my inner “woo-woo” through activities such as yoga.

No Surprises Act
The No Surprises Act aims to increase price transparency and reduce the likelihood that clients receive a “surprise” medical bill by requiring that providers inform clients of an expected charge for a service before the service is provided. Starting January 1, 2023, behavioral health care providers have been required by law to give uninsured and self-pay clients a Good Faith Estimate of costs for services when scheduling care or when the client requests an estimate (whichever occurs 1st).
Prior to the implementation of the No Surprises Act, all psychotherapists already had/have an ethical obligation to provide advance notice of costs and fees for every patient. The No Surprises Act builds off of that and asks the private practice practitioner to provide further formal disclosures of anticipated fees.
All Metamorphosis Therapy, LLC clients will receive a Right to Receive a Good Faith Estimate Information Summary, outlining additional detail when establishing services.
